Antique Sicilian sideboard finely carved in polychrome woods, 19th century

Small antique Sicilian sideboard with four doors, richly carved in polychrome woods, Louis Philippe period. The particular serpentine shape allows it to have two larger central doors and two smaller side doors. The four doors are marked by as many pilasters surmounted by figures of Sicilian nobles. The top is surmounted by a double-shelf upstand ending with a cymatium with a medallion with fruit in the centre. The sideboard has been restored by master craftsmen using the traditional method: shellac and handmade alcohol.
