Color print by the Milanese painter Giannino Grossi (1889-1969) made in 1932 and depicting Bramante's basilica of Santa Maria Nuova in Abbiategrasso, Milan, Italy. Commissioned by the Duke of Milan Gian Galeazzo Visconti in 1388 to celebrate the birth of his eldest son Giovanni Maria, the basilica was completed according to Renaissance forms by the brilliant Donato Bramante under the duchy of Ludovico il Moro in 1497. In the image it is possible to observe the pronaos and the portico designed by the architect from the Marche region.
