Antique 19th century mahogany secretaire, restored

Elegant antique Italian secretaire dating back to the early 19th century, Empire period. Made of fine solid mahogany wood characterised by an elegant linearity, two majestic lateral columns decorate the front and add grandeur. The upper surface is in fine dark grey marble. Equipped with a long and narrow drawer in the upper part, while in the lower part two doors reveal a practical compartment and an additional internal drawer. The central part opens according to the characteristic of all secretaires to reveal a leather-covered surface with a golden decoration in the centre and other small drawers. The secret is constituted by the first long internal drawer that can only be opened through a hidden opening. Price negotiable.
