Antique Empire writing desk in mahogany feather with bronze applications

French Empire writing desk in mahogany feather with finely chiseled gilded bronze applications. The top has a central leather surrounded by a 24kt gold border and a mahogany feather squaring. The undertop band is characterized by a drawer that can be pulled out via two gilt bronze knobs. The four feet in the shape of a strangled column end with a skillfully chiseled gilded bronze base and capital. A curvilinear cruise also feathered connects the feet. The opposite side turns out to be mirrored to the main one. The writing desk has been restored by our master craftsmen with the traditional method of shellac and handmade alcohol.
