Antique kneeler in walnut from the Louis XIV period, Italy 17th century

Rare antique Italian kneeler from the mid-17th century, full Baroque Louis XIV period. Made of solid walnut with relief decorations carved into the wood on the front panel, clearly reminiscent of Piedmontese Baroque cabinet-making. In the part dedicated to the knees there is a compartment with a key lock. Of great value all the coeval hand-forged iron hardware, with fantastic large antique keys from the 17th century. Excellent state of conservation. This fantastic kneeler is a piece of history that could be exhibited in a museum, and can be easily placed in every room thanks to its small size, it can be used for your daily prayers or simply as a particular piece of furniture.
