Antique painting with neoclassical scene, oil on canvas from the early 19th century

Antique oil painting on canvas with contemporary frame belonging to the early 19th century. The central scene enclosed in a rectangle is surrounded by a grotesque painting, in vogue immediately after the discovery of the excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii. The main scene portrays the classic house of the time with a family inside watching an eagle and a peacock playing.
