Chest of drawers by Ennio Fazzoli for MIM Roma in rosewood, 1960s
An elegant mid-century chest of drawers, crafted from dark rosewood by the Italian design house MIM (Mobili Italiani Moderni) in Rome and designed by its founder, Ennio Fazzoli. The piece features a clean, linear silhouette with five spacious drawers, each with thin, round metal knobs. The raised base features slender, square legs, lending a lightness to the form, balancing the weight and rich hues of the rosewood. The wood grain displays a vividness and warmth; the finish displays a period-appropriate character, typical of fine vintage Italian furniture from the 1960s and 1970s. Condition: Original hallmark. Original key for locking the drawers. Refinished and restored, excellent vintage condition; shows minor signs of age.
