Giancarlo Pignataro, born in 1958 in Albanella, near Paestum, studied in Rome, where he graduated from the Art School. He also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and Perugia. From a very young age, he received the appreciation and encouragement to continue his work from several already established artists such as Annigoni, Ziveri, and Riccardo Tommasi Ferroni.
