Biography: Marco Grandi was born in Mantua on 13 December 1955. He enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna to graduate in 1978. He began his artistic activity while attending the Academy, with participation in group exhibitions organized by the high school, for then set up the first personal exhibition entitled "RI / Velare" at the Galleria il Chiodo in Mantua in 1979. This was followed, in 1980, by "Accursia" curated by Concetto Pozzati, at the Palazzo D'Accursio in Bologna; the following year he exhibited at the Il Chiodo Gallery (MN) and, in 1982, at the Tommaseo Gallery in Trieste with the exhibition "A visual hypothesis"; then at the Galleria San Fedele in Milan in 1984. In the following years Gradi is present in various national events.
