Napoleon III era travel correspondence desk

Magnificent walnut and rosewood traveling correspondence desk with exquisite inlays, dating from the Napoleon III period to the 19th century, complete with lock and original working key. The desk opens at the top with a key to reveal compartments containing an original crystal ink bottle. The small open flap allows the larger flap underneath to open onto a green leather writing surface. The upper section, equipped with a flap, also serves as a flap that folds down to reveal a paper compartment.
Period: Second half of the 19th century. Excellent condition.
