Pair of antique Louis Philippe mirrors in carved and gilded wood

Rare pair of Louis Philippe mirrors from the mid-1800s in gilded and carved wood. The particular shape with Rocaille friezes with floral motifs in the Louis XV style is further embellished by the presence of six small shelves for supporting furnishings. The 24kt gold leaf gilding is placed on a layer of bole, a substance used as a base to then place the gold leaf. The mercury mirror is original from the time. Provenance: Italy 19th century.
