Savonarola 1960s lacquered chair

Savonarola Red Throne chair made in the 1960s in Renaissance style, with armrests carved with lion heads and backrest carved with Renaissance decorative motifs. The chair, originally walnut coloured, was repainted for use in a theater piece in the 1970s, with burgundy red enamel color and a light silver finish on the background. The chair is foldable as shown in the photo. The glazing is approximate, but certainly has a scenic effect. The structure is solid and sturdy, all in solid wood.
