Beautiful painting by Silvio Poma with a glimpse of a garden with a cottage, oil on cardboard from the end of the 19th century. Excellent pictorial quality, complete with wooden frame which has some defects. Silvio Poma (Trescore Balneario, 1840 - Turate, 1932) was an important Italian painter considered one of the major landscape painters of Lombard Verismo of the late nineteenth century. Born in Trescore Balneario on 8 January 1840, the painter was able to fully experience the cultural and artistic currents of the time.
