Vintage wooden Poretti beer chest trunk, 1912

Rare vintage wooden crate chest trunk for beer bottles, with Birra Poretti Varese brand, 1912, made of solid oak wood by Segheria Casalpusterlengo, of which it bears the logo on one side together with the date and the Jugendstil logos typical of the time. The trunk probably had a spaced bottom inside for housing the bottles. All original, except for a rope handle. The object has been restored, cleaned and rubbed with straw-colored oil. The metal parts have been finished with a specific anti-rust product. There are signs of woodworm dating back to before the recently carried out anti-woodworm treatment. Structurally the trunk is robust and usable, and is suitable for being closed with a padlock, not supplied.
