Antique Empire clock in gilt bronze with King Charles X

Antique French Empire clock in finely chiseled gilt bronze, from the early 19th century. The scene is centered entirely on the figure of King Charles X. The figure on the left represents the king with the costume of the time, while on the right side he is depicted with armor, shield and sword. The lower part is enriched with allegorical scenes relating to the life of the king. The dial is in porcelain and bears Roman numerals with a "Manière" signature in the center. The clock is complete with key and pendulum, with fully functional mechanism. Provenance: France, 1820 - 1830.
