Antique Parisian Empire clock with Diana the Huntress in gilt bronze

Empire clock in finely chiseled gilded bronze belonging to the early 19th century. The scene is entirely based on the figure of Diana the huntress flanked by a small cherub. The goddess on the left is depicted with a bow in her hand and the other hand is resting on the quiver, while the cherub holds the flame of hope in his hand. The underlying part is enriched by allegorical scenes on the life of Diana. The dial is in porcelain and bears Roman numerals with the Doutreuwe à Paris signature in the centre.
