Antique Louis XVI central desk in solid walnut

Antique Louis XVI Neapolitan solid walnut freestanding desk from the mid-18th century. The top is surrounded by a beautiful railing entirely inlaid with a geometric motif and features a central inlay depicting a mythological figure. The front features five drawers accented by geometric inlays, and a writing surface above the central drawer. The opposite side features the same layout, with the distinctive feature of having mythological figures instead of the geometric inlay. The four legs have the classic obelisk shape typical of the Louis XVI period. Provenance: Naples, 18th century.
