Large antique desk with drop-down top from the Charles X era - 19th century

We present this elegant antique Italian writing desk dating back to the first half of the 19th century, during the reign of Charles X. Crafted from fine walnut in a light, honey-colored hue, it features a linear design enhanced by thin yet refined turned frames that create a distinctive visual accent on each side. Functionally, it features three convenient front drawers and two side compartments with internal shelves. Its most unusual feature is the top, which folds open to reveal a leatherette-covered surface, perfect for writing or consulting documents. Inside are four small drawers embellished with gilded bronze knobs. The writing surface is positioned at 80 cm. Price negotiable.
